What is WeekTable for?
WeekTable is a web application that helps you create weekly timetables.
It was designed primarily for school timetables, but it can be used for any activity involving classes and teachers.
On which devices can I use WeekTable?
In theory, on any device with a browser, but for optimal use, we recommend at least a tablet in landscape mode.
Do I need a powerful computer to use WeekTable?
No, any device with a browser can be used. All processing is done remotely from the server.

Can I exercise the right of withdrawal?
You may return any order placed on the site, without providing a reason, if:
- The customer is a natural person
- No more than 14 days have passed since the order was successfully processed
- None of the resources specifically allocated to the purchased subscription have been used
For all other cases, the reasons given will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion, without creating any obligation towards the customer, nor can we be required to provide explanations for the refusal to refund the amounts paid by the customer.
How can we make a purchase as a school or public administration?
Unfortunately, each country has different regulations.
In Italy, you can proceed with the purchase by providing the school/organization's billing information and you will receive a regular invoice.
Contact the school/organization's accounting/finance office to verify that this is sufficient.
How do I create a new schedule?
A detailed explanation showing the different steps can be seen on the How It Works page
How many schedules can I generate?
There's no limit to the number of schedules you can generate, but there is a specific daily limit on the schedules you can save.
This limit depends on your subscription and any additional services.
Why can't I get a full schedule?
WeekTable can generate a complete timetable only if there are not too many constraints and the existing constraints allow for a complete timetable.
One way to check if the constraints are excessive is to generate an incomplete timetable, save it, and then use the preview to see if it can be completed.
For example: if too many teachers in class X don't want to teach on Wednesdays, it will be impossible to complete the Wednesday timetable.
How much effort is it to get a schedule with WeekTable?
WeekTable is committed to offering the best possible schedule, taking into account the constraints imposed and within a reasonable timeframe.
Anyone who has ever created a schedule manually knows how difficult it is to consider all the constraints, both explicit and implicit.
By implicit constraints, we mean all those small adjustments that make a schedule more acceptable because they are more compatible with a wide range of personal needs.
For this reason, WeekTable adopts an approach we call artisanal: it seeks to offer a foundation that the user can then modify with relative ease to create a schedule that also takes implicit constraints into account.
How to use the additional rules for teachers?
Additional rules offer a very powerful tool for managing individual teacher needs.
The algorithm tries to take this into account wherever possible.
It's useful to know that while positive availability (e.g., "yes" on Tuesdays) is treated as "optional," negative availability (e.g., "no" the first two hours on Wednesdays) takes precedence and therefore has a slightly greater impact on the timetable generation.
It can also be useful to know that it's possible to enter fixed hours even when additional rules don't match: for example, we can set a teacher's fifth hour on Tuesday as fixed, and set the additional rule "no" hours on Tuesdays.
Since fixed hours are assigned before the additional rules are analyzed, the generated timetable will obey both constraints.
How to use the class time distribution?
Teachers who have many hours in a single class also need to have consecutive blocks of hours.
The general rule is to define a distribution of hours, leaving at least two hours uneven.
For example, 10 hours can be distributed as 4+4 or 3+3+2 or 4+2+2 or 2+2+2+2.
For teachers who have 3 hours in a class, an exception can be made and the distribution can be 2.
One-hour blocks do not need to be indicated.
How do I manage co-presences?
WeekTable is a new software and, at the moment, does not support co-presence management.
It's often possible to manage these cases by creating a schedule that ignores them, exporting it, and then manually adding the co-presences to the file.
Can I manage returns?
WeekTable has minimal management of return periods, which should be sufficient in most cases.
- In the school configuration, you must specify that you intend to set return periods.
- In the affected classes, you must specify the days and how many return periods you intend to have.
- In the teachers you intend to assign return periods to, specify in the appropriate section which return periods they will have.
In practice, they will be like fixed hours, but will be displayed in the timetable beyond the standard daily hours.
How I manage my days off?
You must specify in the school's configuration that you want to manage free days.
One of the following options must be specified for each teacher:
- No free day (for teachers who have limited hours at the school or who have free days elsewhere)
- Random free day (assigned by the system)
- Fixed free day
It is recommended not to set too many free days, as the system may not be able to provide a complete schedule.
Can I share a schedule?
Schedules can be exported to PDF format with various options to share with teachers or students.
Schedules can also be shared online via a link.
How can I get support and assistance?
For any inquiries, please fill out the form on the Contacts page.
To receive dedicated (remote) support, purchase the support service from the shop and schedule an appointment using the form on the Contacts page.
How can I report a bug or suggest changes?
You can fill out the form on the Contacts page, explaining in detail the problem you encountered or the reasons justifying the change.
Where can I find tutorials or guides?
On the How It Works page, you'll find a guide explaining all the steps needed to create a timetable from scratch.
The page where you can edit a timetable version is where the most complex operations take place. It contains a searchable guide for each action.
How is the data I enter managed?
Aside from the billing data used for obvious reasons, all other data is used solely to provide the service.
No data is shared with third parties.
How do I close my account?
Once logged in through the Account Management menu, follow the link below to Close Account.
At the end of the process, all your data will be deleted; this action is irreversible.
